Advanced Physical Therapy, LLC was founded in 2021 with a simple goal: to provide our physical therapy patients with cutting-edge care in a friendly small-town atmosphere. Our physical therapists are highly trained in the latest industry practices and they are dedicated to using their knowledge to help our patients recover from injuries and lead active lives free of pain. From our new state-of-the-art facility to our personalized treatment plans, we strive to show every patient that “advanced” isn’t just part of our name – it’s who we are.

Dr. Lindsey Foster, PT, DPT

Dr. Foster is a lifelong native of Scottsboro, graduating from Scottsboro High School before earning a B.S. in Zoology from Auburn University. She earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2009. She has used her passion for helping others to earn 13 years of experience offering quality physical therapy care to her many patients.

Dr. Foster lives in Scottsboro, Ala. with her husband and three children. Outside of her practice, she continues to serve others as a member of the Scottsboro Women’s League, the Scottsboro Jr. Progress, and Scottsboro First United Methodist Church. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, exercise, outdoor activities, and spending time with her family.

Taylor Giles, LPTA, Medical Biller

Taylor is from Chattanooga, TN where she graduated with her Associates in Physical Therapist Assistant from Chattanooga State Community College in 2018. She now resides in Scottsboro, AL with her miniature wiener dog Berry and boyfriend Sean Hudgins. She enjoys going off-road riding, filming professional rock bouncer races, whitetail deer hunting and spending quality time with friends and family.

Rebecca Schmitz, LPTA

Rebecca graduated from Calhoun Community College with an Associates Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant in 2020. Rebecca lives in New Hope, AL with her husband Sam and her two children Cole and Harlie. In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys hiking, kayaking, traveling, reading, and spending time with her family.

Laura Spears, LPTA

Laura is a Sylvania native and graduate of Sylvania High School. She earned her PTA degree from Wallace State Community College and became a licensed PTA in October 2023. She lives in Rainsville and enjoys spending time with her family and boyfriend, playing music, hiking, and going to the gym.
